RARE Stunning Antique Blue ART GLASS Vase Pair, Handpainted, 11, Beautiful

Stunning pair of large (11 tall) antique (1800’s) blue art glass vase. Hand-painted cute birds and flowers, leaves, heavy gold gilt. Excellent condition, with no chips, no cracks or hairlines. Gold is mostly intact. Thick glass, all hand-made, rough but silky smooth bottom (see pictures) feels solid and antique. From style, technique and colors it looks 1800s. If light is shone at the right angle it can light up the whole vases through the heavy gold. Or, if placed at the right place, the blue glass looks so delightfully translucent. Large: 11 tall (see 2nd last picture, next to a regular 500ml water bottle). A great center piece to decorate you home!

BEAUTIFUL LARGE ANTIQUE JAPANESE HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN SATSUMA VASE. This colourful handpainted early Japanese Satsuma Vase measures 1.1 ft high (32 cm). It is fully signed and marked on the base. It is a high quality design with fine quality painting, lots of detail and gold gilt work. The colours are particularly vivid, the portraiture fine and the abstract patterns particularly creative. The artist has made a lot of use of three dimensional hand painted glazing over a fine crackle glaze and has produced an ornate vase which catches and pleases the eye wherever it is placed. The vase makes a wonderful display for flowers but is equally distinctive when empty. There is a small hairline crack and small chip near the base of the vase and a small hairline crack over the lip. None of this interferes with the strength and ascetic beauty of the vase which is otherwise in excellent condition for its age.
