A lovely antique fly insect brooch set with amethyst stones beautifully Faceted to catch the light, red garnet cabochon eyes and seed pearls set into the wings. The brooch fastens with a Hinged pin and c clasp hook. A beautifully made piece in good wearable condition with light signs of use only. Dimensions: 2cm x 4 cm. Rare Antique gold plated Victorian or Pinchbeck Mourning Brooch With Seed Pearls. Highly Collectable pinchbeck brooch with hair woven beautifully in a crest as seen In photos, appraised by a jeweller as very beautifully and finely set and valued as well. Pinchbeck was used in places like stagecoaches where there was a risk of theft they went back to the early 1700s as it’s an alloy of zinc and copper which looks just like gold but it could be gold plate or even gold I cannot be sure and neither was jeweller but he thought it was an exquisite piece. Size is approx 2in x 2in the case is not original obviously but I will sell it in it. This is a real antique of age and meaning and the hair has been woven in to look very attractive and still in excellent condition, the pin at back is in working order. A great piece of history x. This has been fully tested and is 18ct gold but no hallmarks are present. This is a Very Old Rare Antique item with various signs of age related wear including scuffs and scratches consistent with use and areas of wear and Discolouration. Some of the rubies and pearls have signs of wear, please do look through the photographs for full condition. The rubies range in size from 10 – 3 points, approximately 0.40 carat in total. Beautiful Victorian Rare Quality 15ct Gold, Turquoise & Seed Pearl Cross. Here is the most beautiful victorian rare quality 15ct gold turquoise & seed pearl cross. The cross measures one inch by one & a half inches including the bail and is all set in 15ct yellow gold which has the fabulous ritchness to the gold. The pendant depicts a beautiful quality cross with a really lovely early design which is then all inset with lovely real turquoise which are cabouchon & as with real turquoise they have their fabulous natural aged colour between blue to green as you would expect with aged antique turquoise. Then nicely they alternate with real victorian seed pearls with their natural colour of white/silver/grey which with their natural sheen beautifully accentuating each other The cross dates very clearly to the victorian era & is clearly marked for the early 15ct gold mark and comes complete with a bail for attatching to a chain, which is small so could perhaps do with having a larger bail put on, see pics and i have never seen such a lovely example the same as this for quite a while as they are getting harder to find especially as this exact example. This really is a beautiful antique cross in very good origional complete condition that will certainly not disapoint and as wearable today as when it was made and a exquisire rare example.
