VERY RARE UNUSUAL HALLEY’S COMET Antique Georgian Genuine Rock Crystal Brooch Pin With Dropper. Wedding Bride Bridal Jewellery. Georgian 1714 – 1837. Perfect For a BRIDE On Her Wedding Day – or for ANY SPECIAL OCCASION! Would Make a Gorgeous Gift For Someone Special – a Real HEIRLOOM Piece! A fabulous and very rare antique Georgian Halley’s Comet brooch, with huge faceted genuine rock crystals and a beautiful dropper tail, on a pinchbeck frame. The brooch looks mesmerising whenever it catches the light – I have tried to show this in the pictures, but it is difficult to capture in natural light. It really is a stunning and unique piece, even more beautiful than the photographs show, and weighty too. The brooch fastens with an early C catch. The elongated pin extends well beyond the frame. Elongated pins are often found on larger brooches from the Georgian period, and were made to go through the thicker fabrics of the day. Lovely Large Size, Measures approximately: 1.5? Diameter x 2.75? Or 32mm diameter x 69mm drop. The pin extends by a further 7mm. A Really Unique and Highly Sought After Piece. In Excellent Original Antique Condition. Thank you for looking.
