A Rare & Beautiful 140 Year Old Antique Continental French Comtoise Wall Hanging Clock. Made in 19th century France to a lovely standard in around 1890. The wonderful pressed brass clock in the form of a basket bearing fruit and spandrels, a lovely white enamel dial with Roman numerals and minute marks with a signed dial. Together with weights and pendulum. Made to wonderful proportions and quite different to the usual 19th century English clocks. The clock appears to have a more valuable 8 day movement and appears complete. However requires a clean and service to ensure accuracy and to work well. A lovely rare French clock.
