Her foot is on a stool as well. There is a large Tortiere lamp in the middle of the door (and goes in back of the woman) and the top of it goes up to the point in the door itself. A footed urn by her foot. The DETAIL IS SO FANTASTIC that you can see her hair strands and finger and toe nails and the folds of her garment! The doorway is decorated with a Greek design as well. This is ALL on the door. Around the door is a raised dot and dash design, and beveled design and then it resembles wood with cross ribbons, then more bevel and like a step up step down design. On the top there is a. Leaf design (that stands 6 1/4 taller than the wood cabinet in back) which curves forward! There is a large shell like piece on top center with an acanthus leaf and all kinds of leaves going nearly 4 1/2 down both sides. It is VERY ORNATE AND DETAILED! There is a WORD down near the left facing side and it apparently is another language. It resembles and upside down “U” ENEAO and another upside down “U” E. Maybe it is Greek? There is a keyhole but no key. The front door opens up to reveal 3 compartments and 2 shelves. The shelves are 12″ long and the top and middle shelves are 5 1/8″tall. The bottom shelf is 5 3/8 tall. Depth is about 4 1/4″ top shelf, 4″ middle shelf and the bottom is about 5 deep. VERY HEAVY at 16.4 lbs! It measures 24″ tall for the metal front, 16″ wide at the leaf design. It is 5 3/4″ deep with the wood back nearly 4 7/8″ from the wall. The back wood piece has been replaced and has holes so the cabinet can be mounted from inside it and can be inset into the wall or used on top of the wall too. Condition is really good with nothing wrong with the metal front and door. The wood shelves inside the cabinet is fine. The outside wood has the usual dings on top and all but not bad and it is mostly on the top but really is not seen from the front because of the metal front. The back piece has been replaced but cannot be seen unless the door is opened or you look in back. The key is missing as noted before. FANTASTIC cabinet and you won’t see another like it!
