Very Rare and Beautiful Japanese Antique Ginbari Cloisonne Vase. This listing is for a stunning antique Japanese silver wire cloisonne enamel vase c. Crafted from brass and decorated with silver wire cloisonné enamel against a pearlescent white ground, depicting wonderfully jewel-toned flower petals and gradated leaves with an intense high sheen. Below the lip of the vase is a ringed band design matching in color to the brass exterior of the mouth. The pearlescent white transitions to a delicate baby blue towards the bottom rim of the vase where there are some very fine stress lines beneath the enamel that have naturally formed over time. The stress lines are absolutely not a detriment to the vase but are visible when closely examined, please see all photos to assess. The lines do share an aesthetic similarity to the veins of the leaves and do not deter from the stunning design of the vase overall. Get it before it’s gone!! RARE Fine Beautiful Miniature Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase – Signed MIWA. A very RARE beautiful antique miniature cloisonne vase with design of two colorful butterflies all done in very thick silver wire as well as super fine cloisons down to the feet. Super high gloss black ground shows every speck of dust and reflects like a mirror. Brass top and bottom rims with wonderful patina from age. Hard to photo this little guy, so please review them all. This vase exhibits very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship. Signed on base with mark of MIWA TOMISABURO, dating to the Golden Age Period. So rare, I had to dust off my old Coben and Ferster Japanese Cloisonne, History, Techniques and Appreciation, First Edition 1982 to find an example – Page 211, Plate 40. My last photo shows this mark clearly. This antique vase is in excellent original condition. Digital camera picks up some pin pricks in enamel from when made. One spot about size of three pin pricks but could not get to show in a photo. Digital camera of high gloss black picks up everything. Nothing visible in hand. Normal wear to base rim. Vase displays very beautifully. The recurring white spot is flash. Cabinet size at approximately 2 9/16 tall. Very solid, well made little vase. RARE opportunity to acquire a work of art from a master of Japanese cloisonne. Please see photos as an integral part of this description. Sometimes the camera catches what I don’t. From my own personal collection, this fine vase is gorgeous in hand and would be an excellent addition to your own cloisonne collection. All reasonable offers considered.
