Executed on paper this unframed work measures 8.5 x 6 inches with its full margins and appears quite rare this being the only example I can locate of this image. Well executed this print will look great when framed hung. The work shows toning, minor matt burn and foxing but it is signed in pencil low left and annotated low right. One is holding a pole in her hand with ribbons. They are very animated and skillfully sculptured. They look very happy and seem to be enjoying their dance. The bronze measures, including the original marble base, 12-3/4 inches high. The base measures 1-1/8 inches high, 5 inches wide, and 3-1/2 inches deep. This is one of the best Vienna bronzes you might ever hope to find showing great motion, animation, and knowledge of human anatomy. Ruff sculptured some of the finest Vienna bronzes made during the late 19th and very early 20th centuries. His sculptures are much rarer than Bergman Foundry pieces. Exquisite antique bronze dancer inscribed on the base Philippe. The beautiful lady is wearing sandals, flowers in her hair, and holding a shawl in her hand. Her hair is styled in the classic Art Nouveau design. She is very lifelike and beautifully sculptured as are all of Philippe’s works. She is dancing with her right hand in the air holding a shawl. The shawl only covers the back of her hand, an area above her shoulder and a small area by her legs. The rest of her body is not covered. Her sandals are beautifully designed with fancy ties. She has a lovely expression on her face very confident and very beautiful. The bronze measures 12-1/2 inches from the bottom of the base to the top of her hand. From the bottom of her sandal to the top of her head she measures 11 inches. The base is 4-3/4 inches long by 3-1/2 inches wide. From the tip of her finger to the back of her elbow she measures 7-1/4 inches. Weight 5.75 lbs. This is a lovely and very rare model by one of France’s finest sculptors Philippe. She has some light rubbing to her patina but otherwise there are no condition issues to comment on. She is very lifelike and animated. This is a wonderful dancing nude female bronze sculpture guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. The works of Philippe are sought after by many collectors. KTF Trifari Signed Alfred Philippe 1937-38 Diamante RARE Necklace with PATENT

PAT No 107131 A. PHILIPPE 1937-38 “Diamante” Necklace EXTREMELY RARE. This is an extremely rare and delicate necklace!! It is simply stunning and beautiful. This patent filed by Alfred Philippe was filed on October 6, 1937 and granted on November 23, 1937. Since there is a patent number stamped on the piece, it was probably created in 1937-38. The patent states that it was submitted as a brooch but the design would be used for other pieces. This piece is very light as compared to later pieces probably because the “Trifarium” process had not yet been created. Because it is such a light and intricate design, it is delicate and fragile. This is an absolutely fantastic necklace. W hat makes this absolutely stunning necklace so rare is that many KTF necklaces made in 1930’s are missing “diamante” stones or the stones have yellowed because of age. This is not the case in this piece. The condition is excellent! Close to mint condition!! No stones are missing or discolored. This fantastic necklace is approximately 17″ long and the pendant is approximately 1.75″ in diameter. The sparkle that still radiates from this antique necklace is amazing!! Imagine what it must have been like to receive such a spectacular necklace during the Great Depression! Someone treasured this piece.
