Made to high standard, the face with wonderful applied gilt floral decoration with matched blue steel hands. A beautiful flat topped hood with fixed reeded columns and the case with lovely canted corners. This wonderful clock would have been at the very height of fashion in early Victorian England. Made from fine quality mahogany with a rare circular enamel dial with Roman numerals and inscribed Neill Brothers, Belfast. A true antique and a real piece of history. It would stand very proud in any room. This clock has the much more valuable 8 day movement which has been beautifully overhauled, its almost looks new. This much more desirable movement means it only needs winding once per week rather than the 30 hour movements which need winding every day.
