Beautiful Antique Nude Fairy Painted Porcelain Wagner. Beautiful antique painting on porcelain plaque signed Wagner depicting a semi nude fairy sitting on a mountain ledge. She has long golden hair and is wearing a floral wreath. Her translucent wings are beautifully painted as is the entire composition. Wagner is one of the best known artists that specialized in paintings on porcelain plaques in the late 19th and very early 20th centuries. The plaque is in excellent condition. The plaque measures 6 inches high by 4 inches wide. Framed size is 10-1/2 inches high by 9 inches wide. The frame is an original antique carved gilt wood frame in excellent condition. Frames like this have usually been restored over the years but this one is in mint condition. The painting on porcelain plaque is in superb condition.
