In the book’DURAND, The Man and his Glass by Edward J. It has a mushroom style shape. He exterior has a deep blue lustre ground which is decorated with an electric silvery blue coil design. The top and interior is finished in a rich marigold – the iridescence colors are wonderful. It has a nicely polished pontil on the bottom side. 3″ tall by 5″ at widest. Antique Art Deco 1920’s Beautiful Rare Nude Woman Brain Globe Chalkware Lamp

For your consideration is an absolutely beautiful 1920’s art deco era chalkware lamp of a nude woman sitting on rocks staring into the light. This reminds me of a Frankart style piece, but there are no visible markings. The lamp is in working condition and still has the original power cord, which surprisingly seems to be fine other than some fraying to the cloth material that is covering it. As with most antique lamps, low wattage bulbs should be used. I will leave it up to the new owner to decide whether they wish to replace the cord with a more modern one. Aesthetically , this lamp is brilliantly painted and the brain globe gives off the perfect glow and level of lighting. The chalk material remains solid with no damage to speak of other than a few small marks and scratches, which is only to be expected after this many years. The glass globe is in excellent condition. A cloth material remains fastened to the underside for surface protection. Most antique lamps are made of metal, so it is definitely amazing that this chalkware one has survived the way it has! It was obviously well cared for. Measurements are approximately 9″ x 6″ x 10. Please be sure to view all photos closely as they are considered part of the item description.
