This beautiful rare 18th century French silk ikat fabric has a lovely celadon background color, with an ikat panel effect flanked. By two thin red stripes. The ikat itself, has a ribbon effect in soft tones of blue with pale peach into brown florals with pale peach. Into brown florals with ivory colored background. Wonderful for serious collectors of early French fabrics. 18″ W X 41-1/2″ L. The right hand side and some area in the middle of the fabric is worn away from time and age! Beautiful & Rare Antique French Renaissance Silk Woven Amberline Fabric (9144)

Be sure to add me to your. This incredibly gorgeous antique amberline was woven primarily in silk in France during the late Renaissance. The design features a striped layout with damask motifs in the wider bands alternating with floral and vine patterns and an ikat pattern. The colors are bright gold/yellow, green and tan. The fabric measures 29 1/2 inches in width by 19 inches in length. This heavy weight silk fabric would is threadbare in many places and is not recommended for sewing projects!! It would be wonderful framed for the serious collector of early textiles! This is antique fabric. There is a vertical seam approx. 10 in from the left edge. There is a stain in the lower left corner and threadbare areas throughout. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SEWING PROJECTS! Please see photos for reference. Be sure to add me to your. Beautiful Rare 18th C. French Silk Brocade Fabric. This beautiful rare 18th century silk brocade fabric , has a creme colored background with a creme colored jacquard. There are beautiful brocaded bouquets of flowers in ivory, mauve, plum, yellow and orange with green leaves. There are also blue and creme brocaded flowers within the lace design. Wonderful for collectors of early French textiles. The fabri c measurement. 21 1/2″ W X 31 1/4″ L. There are a few very small dots and stains. There are also some stains towards the bottom of the fabric. And a few holes over the selvedge. There is a stamped number. Please see photos for reference. This beautiful rare 18th century silk velvet vest piece has the center piece in a lovely soft grey/ blue/ green color with the cut velvet motifs. In small diamonds throughout with the perimeters in large cut velvet leaves on all sides. Clearly this lovely piece had been made for a man’s vest as there are button holes on one side. Wonderful for collectors to own a rare piece of French history! 19 ” W X 31 ” L. T his is antique fabric. There are some opened areas around some of the leaf motifs. There are some holes , several seams and one patch from the back. Also discoloration towards the bottom which is of interest as the true color has been more of a soft teal.
