Beautiful antique french rosary, from the end of 19THc. Made of sterling silver and garnet glass. Composed with: 59 beads in total, 6 Our Father beads are made of filigree silver, a center, open work, monogram of Mary shaped and a cross crucifix, open work too, ornated with acanthus leaves. Condition: It is in a very nice antique condition, see photos. Total length is 19,9 inches / 50,5 cm long. The necklace portion measures 27,6 inches / 70 cm. Cross 1,3 inches x 0,8 inches, 34 mm x 21 mm. Diameter of the beads: 0,2 inches. Weight 33,7 g. Serial number: P173519, this dates the machine to 1900. I’m not sure if the cabinet is of the same age but certainly lots of age to it. The cabinet is worn and scuffed etc in keeping with it’s years but a very attractive piece of furniture. Very pretty and very collectable, rare to find one in this style of cabinet and would make a lovely feature. Measurements: 55cm wide x 43cm deep x 78cm high. This beautiful rare 18th century silk velvet vest piece has the center piece in a lovely soft grey/ blue/ green color with the cut velvet motifs. In small diamonds throughout with the perimeters in large cut velvet leaves on all sides. Clearly this lovely piece had been made for a man’s vest as there are button holes on one side. Wonderful for collectors to own a rare piece of French history! 19 ” W X 31 ” L. T his is antique fabric. There are some opened areas around some of the leaf motifs. There are some holes , several seams and one patch from the back. Also discoloration towards the bottom which is of interest as the true color has been more of a soft teal. BEAUTIFUL RARE VICTORIAN CLENCHING FIST STANHOPE LADIES PARASOL NEEDLE CASE. This is a beautiful Rare Victorian Carved clenching Fist Stanhope Ladies Parasol Needle Case, i would estimate this dates to circa 1870 making it nearly 150 years old, The detailing is exquisite, it has a delicate carved clenching Fish which is actually holding the stanhope glass in its hand, the image is of Sunderland Park with a hill in the background and the Victorian ladies and gentlemen having a leisurely stroll in the park, the body of the stanhope needle case has been crafted beautifull in the form of a ladies parasol, the handle unscrews to allow the lady to keep her needles safely inside, this is a rare form of stanhope as you rarely see one within a clenching fist, its stunning, The quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this would have once belonged to a weathly Victorian Lady and been used daily, this was many years ago when times were so very different. It is so very tactile and once picked up has the most wonderful feel, it is a wonderful example of a fine quality and rare stanhope carved clenching fist needle case, this will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice, i have tried to take a picture of the image inside but its not very clear. Very much in the chinoiserie taste. Painted a blue green colour. The paint is fairly old too, not sure if original to the piece but certainly has age crackling all over.
