Beautiful Victorian Quality Rare Pietra Dura Floral Picture Locket Pendant. Here is a really lovely beautiful quality rare, pietra dura floral picture locket pendant. The pendant measures one & a half inches by two inches excluding the bail & is all set in a early hardstone or similiar. The pendant is inset with a really beautiful real floral pietra dura in a lovely quality floral design. This pendant is quite unusual as on the back is a oval silver locket compartment measuring one inch in diameter & allready to put in a keepsake or pictures/photos etc & does come with a lovely pic of a little boy. The pendant has a lovely large solid silver bail working well and it dates clearly to the victorian period and just has wear as you associate with age & a couple of tiny pieces missing, but certainly nothing that detracts, just mentioned for total accuracy, but these lovely pendants are getting harder to find. However this really is a lovely victorian pietra dura in very good origional complete condition and a lovely quality example of these & a nice collectable example that looks so lovely worn. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history.
