Delightful bentwood armchair by JJ Kohn of Austria dating to around 1905 according to old catalogues. Quite rare this one. Wonderful shapes and curls, especially the backrest. I think may be referred to as an Angel Chair. Incised JJ Kohn mark to underside. Probably has had a replacement wooden seat at some point instead of the original cane. Measures 35 inches tall to back, 22.75 inches across arms, seat height 18.75 inches, width 19. In sound condition with age related wear and patina which is authentic and adds character.
