Glass : See pictures, the glass has been polished but there is still a scratch in the bottom left corner. Movement condition : Pretty nice, see pictures, was serviced a few times. In really good condition for it’s age. Back of the case : Good condition, light scratches, see pictures. The front of the case : Looks very nice, good condition, light scratches, see pictures. Sides of the case. Complications of the watch : Beautiful Calendar. Dial : There are signs of age but as you can see on pictures it’s in the original condition and it looks amazing. Hands : See pictures – They are a beauty. The age looks amazing on them. Lume : Not tested but i think there is no lume on the watch. Crown : Not the original crown but works perfectly. Waterproof : Not waterproof not tested but still… Don’t go in the water with it. More important details : was serviced at the « Bijouterie du Syndicat » a few years ago in Quebec. Rare Beautiful Old German Master Violin Video Antique 222

Nicely crafted instrument, with masterly carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. Mother of pearl inlays on the back. The edges are decorated with wooden inlays. There’re no open cracks or open seams, and only minor marks in it´s old amber varnish. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. In our workshop it received new set up with newly fitted pegs, new ebony tailpiec & ebony chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Beautiful old German master instrument in immediate playing condition! Great warm and mature sound – Please see the video & listen to the sound on youtube!
