Interesting old quality violin in excellent condition. Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! Nicely crafted instrument, with masterly carved scroll and accurately double inlaid purfling, turning into arabesque patterns on the back. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams, and there’re only some minor marks in it´s old varnish. An engraving at the upper back da ted 1910. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back is – as well as the neck and ribs – beautiful flamed maple. In our workshop the violin received a new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, elder ebony tailpiece, elder ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin! THEY WERE ALL HAND MADE ON A LOOM BY VARIOUS NOMADIC TRIBESPEOPLE. THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN USED! THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RARE RUGS UP FOR SALE. The Kilim carpet is a double sided flat weave carpet hand made by the Berber tribespeople in and around the Atlas mountains in Tunisia, North Africa. Each region Gafa, El Jem, Sidibou Said, Tunis, Hammamet, etc. Has different, but similar design features on the carpets, but no two carpets are alike. They are highly individualized. The Kilims are all made from 100% wool usually on a cotton weft. The Kilims are mostly known for their geometric patterns. Animals, children and adults are also represented. They used many sources of dyes to obtain the jewel-tone colors commonly found on these Kilims. After WWll, aniline dyes were introduced to North Africa, so they, along with various indigenous insects and plants were used to obtain the vivid colors used on the carpets. The sizes range from 4’x6′ to 7′ or 8′ x 9, 10 or slightly larger. These carpets have been in the original purchasers possession since 1985. This listing is for a beautiful American Brilliant Period (ABP) cut glass trumpet vase, c. Presented is an antique, hand blown and cut glass trumpet form flower vase made during the American Brilliant Period of. The vase has a design with multiple deep cuttings and decorative patterns. The glass has a stunning brillliance which is found only in cut gass from this period. It has a saw tooth upper edge, large pinwheel cuttings, notched or zipper cuttings on the stem, and a deep cut star in base. The tall, flared vase is designed with classic hobstars, latticework patterns and zipper cuts. The base is cut with a large star decoration. This is a very fine quality piece and although it is not signed, it is most likely by Fry, Sinclair, Libbey, Hawkes, Hoare or Tuthill. This piece is a good weight for its size (1.5lbs). This piece is in excellent condition despite of its age. NO- Chips, cracks, scratches, blemishes, dings, dangs, etc. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece that has been loved. Rare German Bisque Double Figure Bathing Beauties by Galluba & Hoffman. Pair of bisque nude ladies are posed together side-by-side, one standing, the other seated on bench with arms held at the edges and right leg kicking outward, each with original mohair wig and the standing one with a cool straw hat. No suits left so they are nude the standing model having pink shoes with ankle wraps, and the seated model with white one-strap shoes. Germany, Galluba and Hofmann, circa 1915. Size: All items shown against ruler or in hand or both to help you judge size. Measures approximately 5 inches tall to top of hat. Condition: Nice vintage condition as pictured. The very tip end of the standing ladies finger is missing, (hard to tell), and she also has a hairline around her neck where a break was repaired years ago by someone.
