Antique Edwardian Floral Apple Blossoms Dress Fabric Rare! This lovely, larger scale design in pink apple blossoms and white daisies printed cotton fabric feels much like a batiste. It has the most airy, featherweight feel with a very fine weave. It might be just slightly heavier than a true batiste. See photo #3 to view the extra fine weave when held to the light. Keep in mind this is a semisheer fabric and the colors will appear rich when placed over a white backing as shown in the photos and much more subtle in color without a backing. With it’s wispy, lightweight beautiful spring/summer blossoms pattern, it was most likely made for summer dresses or skirts or even blouses in the Edwardian era. It’s simply Gorgeous! Rare & Beautiful Vtg 30s 40s Rose Print Bias Gown. Not originally intended for day wear but could be worn as a vintage tea dress. It’s so pretty and deserves to be seen! The lovely nightdress appears to have been made and never worn, superb condition. Stored by the original owner since the 30’s/40’s. I have another similar, made by the same lady in my other listings which is slightly larger on the waist and hips. I don’t think the fabric is silk but has a silk feel, likely rayon. With delicate frill to neckline and hemline, the hem is fashioned into a’V’ shape at the front, pink ribbon bows to shoulders. A bow tie to back. Antique white rather than paper white, with a small and delicate rose print. Please not the waist measurement, approx 34. This is an over the head to get on garment, without zips so this 34″ measurement needs to go over the larger bust (approx 36-38″), it is bias cut so some’give’ to the fabric. I managed to get it on, easing it over the bust, but needed someone to help me pull it up and off with my arms upstretched if you know what I mean! The waist can be drawn in with the tie at the back. Across front waist 17 inches. Across front hips 24 inches. This Gorgeous tiny baby was in the 1940s film miracle on 34th St. With Natalie Wood, as her character held her beloved doll near the end of the movie. This is Ideals Baby Beautiful doll aka Miracle on 34th St. Doll and highly Sought after and cherished by collectors. This sweet baby doll is the Rare smallest size Ideal made of her mold, measuring 16 tall. Baby Beautiful is in UNPLAYED WITH condition. She has been preserved in her original. Factory box (box shows wear from age, its very fragile and has been taped in areas to maintain its integrity, the lid of the box is missing one end flap, the box has its original cardboard insert to hold baby securely in place it also has its original tissue underneath the added blue and white tissue). This pretty girl is wearing the RAREST of her factory original complete outfits: BLUE crisp organdy dress and matching bonnet (one of the bonnet ties has had a piece of ribbon added, as it was fragile and deteriorating), her original white slip and bloomers, her original ivory rayon socks (Couple small holes In socks from age) and little oilcloth Tie shoes. Her coloring is extraordinary! Vibrant rich factory coloring and Original painted details. Bright Crystal blue open and close eyes with all her dark lashes, sweet smile showing her pearly baby teeth. She is just stunning. Her composition has its original factory sheen. She has a few small areas where her paint lifted (legs and head) from age/storage but nothing that detracts from her beauty. (See last photos for any flaws mentioned) We have had several of these dolls in all sizes but never in the blue dress, never with her original box. Such a rare treasure and wonderful addition to a discerning collector of dolls! Non smoking home, and no pets. Beautiful Antique Vintage 1920s Day Dress with Amazing Sleeves. Fantastic 1920s day dress with incorporated jacket. Beautifully made with lovely stitched panel tailoring in bodice and really gorgeous sleeves, cut with an insert of different toned satin fabric. The bodice has a print and an overlay jacket style top which is incorporated into the dress. Fastens with tiny snap studs at collar. I love the art deco panels on the back. An amazingly rare dress in superb condition for something this age. All my items are second hand and some may require a dry clean where they cannot be washed before hand but have steamed everything. Despite this some items may retain an odor, this is often with the older dresses and due to the fabrics and dyes used at the time. The may show slight signs of wear but all major faults and a small repair on shoulder are described and photographed. Thank you for viewing my auctions.
