This is a fabulous, very long, flapper length, antique necklace of tiny iridescent maireener shells. The necklace would have been made in Tasmania. The shells measure approx 4 – 6mm long. They they would be hand strung. There is a green cast to the shells. The condition of the necklace is good vintage. I think that it would date to the 19th or early 20th century.
