Beautiful & Rare 18 Antique 1930s German Helvetic Musical Bellows Teddy Bear

This beautiful, large antique musical teddy bear was originally a bright shade of green mohair, now faded to an off white/grey colour. I believe that’Helvetic’ is a generic name for musical teddy bears like mine, so it is not always possible to directly attribute bears to a specific maker. I have provided a fairly detailed condition report, which covers ted’s most obvious flaws/repairs, but what I have not mentioned is that amazingly, his musical bellows mechanism is in excellent working order. I do not recognise the tune he plays, but guarantee that it plays loud and clear. These characterful, musical teddy bears from the 1930s era are understandably highly prized and I think the (18) generous size of my bear, makes him even more special. Rare one of the earliest 1930s Merrythought mohair covered woodwoly filled cat in a startled pose with arched back and curled tail, inset glass eyes. Jointed at the neck. She has very little fur lose has a white stitched label to paw H42cm tall. The cat is in very. Good condition for her age has little damage to one ear could easily be repaired. Rare Beautiful Large Antique 1920s / 1930s French Boudoir Doll Lenci Doll

This is a lovely rare and original 1920s / 1930s French boudoir doll. I have no idea who made this? I found her in a recent house clearance, she is not a run of the mill doll – shes one thats becoming more harder to find these days in such a nice and pretty condition. She has a cloth / muslin sacking face / body – her hands legs and shoes are made from a pottery which have been painted. She has beautiful hand painted facial features, she is wearing an original antique silk dress with an ostrich feather collar, lace frills and a faux pearl necklace choker. Lovely brown human curly hair. She can sit upright for displaying on a dressing table and she looks fabulous! Approx size: 28 inches high. Condition: This fabulous boudoir doll has been well used and well loved, as you would expect from a doll of this age. It has sat on display in a collection for many years. Her body and costume do show general signs of wear / holes / discolouration / rubbing / stains etc. The feathers are malting from age. There are some loose threads. Her hair will need brushing. One of the legs shows a crack down one side. She does however still display well considering her age. Priced to sell as I do not know much about her – she just creates a lovely statement piece on display! RARE Beautiful 1930’s Merrythought Two Tone Mohair Bingie Bear Pyjama Case

My gorgeous seated Merrythought Bingie cub bear is also a pyjama/nightdress case, so not only beautiful, he’s useful too! Unfortunately my Bingie does not have a label, or button but he is unmistakably a Merrythought Bingie. He has felt ears and paw pads which have’survived’ in good condition with only minor nibbles to the feet pads. There is slight discolouration to the mohair in the ears, nothing too serious, or obvious. This awesome antique tin wind up car is big, about 14″ long and it us marked “Made in England on the side. The car is beautifully formed with rich color and good attention to detail. It has a wind up motor, a plated tin radiator and 2 piece stamped tin wheels. There is is some wear but over all the big tin car is in good original condition. Rare Beautiful Genuine 1930’s Art Deco Convex Flower Shaped Mirror Copper Petals

Here we have a fabulous original, Art Deco period wall hanging mirror. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece with a beautiful deco floral shape. I think the naturally aged/distressing to the mirror around the edges is beautiful. Sorry for the poor photo’s, as it’s convex it was really difficult to “show it off” they just don’t do this fabulous mirror justice.
